01.

Have you ever felt forced to do something sexual with someone because they liked you? Have you ever been touched in an obscene manner by a stranger in public? Have you ever felt guilty after someone else did something to your body without your consent?

These are some of the questions that belong to a form I sent to all the women around me. With the objective of compiling in a document the evidence of sexual violence that women experience.

From the results I generated a virtual reality experience in which the user relives the aggressions of the women around me.

02.

The user plays the role of a woman who has experienced abuse. She is at a party and begins to vividly remember the moments when she was abused and raped.

There are three memories in total, but the program randomly chooses how many of them the user will experience and in which order.

The aim is to project that, although all women have suffered some kind of sexual abuse, each story is different.

03.

The characters and most of the objects of the experience were generated with photogrammetry. Meaning, I scanned the models and objects of the physical world through a series of photos and then reconstructed them in a 3D mesh.

All the animations were recorded in a motion capture space (MOCAP). In which I captured the movements of an actor and assigned them to my 3D models.

Bringing elements from the physical world into the experience was important for me to contextualize the issue. That is why at the epilogue of the story I added graffiti and feminist posters that I found along the streets of Mexico City (between 2020 - 2022).

In addition, I added some of the testimonies of my research with the aesthetics of these graffitis.
